Product Description
MC-316LM (MIG) is a molybdenum-bearing alloy for increased pitting corrosion resistance. The carbon is limited to the lower range for better intergranular resistance.
Typical applications include welding for 18% Cr – 12% Ni – 2% Mo stainless steel in chemical, oil, and gas refineries. Excellent creep strength and resistance to pitting corrosion.
Notes on usage:
- For the GTAW process, use DC-EN, Pure Argon.
- For the GMAW process, Spray Transfer or Short Circuit Transfer mode can be used.
- 98% Argon + 2% O2 shielding gas is recommended in the GMAW process.
Operational and Packaging Data:
- Wire size: 0.8mm, 1.0mm, and 1.2mm.
- Wire packaging: 5kg, 12.5kg, and 15kg.
